Is a high school diploma enough to succeed as a tech these days? I am talking about the advice you give a 17 year old. Many of us older techs have a high school diploma. Do we have a college degree? n May of 2013 ACDC was learning more about the Nissan Leaf as we bought a used 2011 with about 4k miles to use in class. This was new for all of us and 16 lucky Dutchmen had the first crack at it. It took a little getting used to as everyone wanted to see “what it would do”.

Darcy (My Sister and Editor) and I have just finished the 2013 Edition of the ACDC “Understanding HEV and EV Service and Technology” book. 360 pages and 6 months of work. I have the only copy on my desk and “Up Your Voltage! 32″ starts today, May1.

Losing someone ... I wrote this in 2008 and looked it up recently to maybe re-use it for a class. It was worth re-reading for me and I hope you as well.

It is 2013 and I am still preaching the same thing. It is always good to reflect after a busy time. ACDC has been on the move again. Up Your Voltage 31 was a huge success in N.C.

In 1998 I embarked on one more step in my career and opened a training center across the street from my auto repair shop. This was a huge step for me as I look back.
