This is a 3000 ohm resistor in a plastic box that connects between the meter and the leads. It turns your high-impedance meter into an old fashioned Fox Valley, low impedance needle swinging meter. It should NOT be used on any 12-volt circuits, but is required by ACDC to be used on High Voltage Circuits.
