Thermal Management is a better description than HVAC. The old days of an A/C compressor just making cold air are gone. Welcome to the world of heat pumps and Tesla’s Octovalve.  One hour will not be enough time to go through all of the systems that are used in the latest electric vehicles but you will be familiar with moving energy, both hot and cold, around the vehicle to warm things up that are cold and cool things down that are warm. One of our students recently told us that the thermal management system on our EVs are more complicated than the electric drive that turns the wheels. I couldn’t agree more.
