SUMMARY:Unit 1: Introduction to High-Voltage Systems and Safety - SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:High Voltage Safety is the first step in working on any vehicle that has orange cables. During this one day class\, you will be in your shop or at ACDC with different EMVs (HEV-PHEV-EV) and perform the “de-energize / safe down” procedure yourself. We will have you using safety equipment and tools. You will leave with a safety certificate\, confidence\, and an understanding of the high voltage power flow. You will spend over 50% of the time in the shop. Handouts will be given out in class.\n\nMore details will be provided during the enrollment process. You will need a high voltage glove set for each tech that attends. We stock recently tested and certified glove kits.  Bring your multi meter\, leads\, and safety gloves if you have your own. This will include one or more of our three books.

SUMMARY:Unit 2: Advanced Electrical Diagnostics and Testing - SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:This is a 2-day class\, known as “Electrical Analysis for the Confused”. If you are weak in analysing electrical problems\, this class is for you. Over the 2-days we will review the use of a DVOM\, digital oscilloscope\, scope patterns\, reading a wire diagram\, CAN bus systems\, and more. We have a unique electrical training area built into our training center. You will be amazed at how quickly you will grasp electrical theory because you will use it on real cars the same day. Over 50% of your time in class will be spent with a meter\, scope\, and live electrical circuits. Included is a 90-page\, well-illustrated workbook. Think about this “It’s hard to fix an electric car when electricity is not your friend”.

Craig Van Batenburg will be helping you understand the Tesla scan tool\, the components\, and service information. A factory scan tool is now available\, so we have a business case for this OEM. We will focus on the Model 3. They went on sale as a M/Y 2017. 4 year-48K mile warranty. Tesla service centers are backed up.  Now is the time to get on board. Only 12 seats.
