Jacques' Bio
Jacques’ writing background includes ten years as the Technical Editor of Motor Age, a nationally distributed automotive aftermarket trade magazine. This position provided exposure and contacts at all levels of the automotive industry, including technicians, shop owners, trainers, engineers, corporate officers and government officials. Today Jacques works as a free-lance contributor to Motor Age and other trade association magazines.
His technical background includes ten years as an automotive technician, working in dealerships and independent shops. As a flat-rate tech, his specialties were drivebility and electrical work. He also worked for ten years as a lab technician, testing head gaskets in the dyno lab at Fel Pro, diesel fuel injection systems at Bosch and automotive catalyst systems at Johnson-Matthey. In addition to ACDC’s Master Hybrid Technician Certification, Jacques currently holds ASE Master Technician and L1 certifications.
